Rows Of Winter Cover Crop At Heart Hill Vineyard
VINEYARD UPDATE
As we start to see spring loom in the distance, we’re enjoying sprawling green vineyards and bright blue skies. The cover crop is healthy and lush, and we’ll be bringing our sheep back over the next few weeks to mow everything down. All this explosive growth was due in part to the high rainfall that we’ve seen this year.
Paso Robles Rain Highlights:
· Record-setting storms in January brought substantial rain (along with a short tasting room closure!) and we’re now in the midst of a second sizable storm.
· We’ve received over 16 inches of rain so far this year, with more expected this weekend.
· Our Water Reclamation ponds are full. We collect rainwater to store and use later in the season when water is not as abundant.
