#1 Sauvignon Blanc 2023 Jespersen Ranch

We farm Sauvignon Blanc at Jespersen Ranch. The vineyard is located in the northwestern corner of the Edna Valley AVA just four miles from the ocean. Our three acres of Sauvignon Blanc thrive in the coastal environment and derive their character from the rolling banks of coastal fog in the morning and ocean breezes in the afternoon.

The 2023 vintage is full of juicy, mouthwatering acidity and lush tropical flavors that showcase the cool-climate vineyard site. Notes of pineapple, kiwi, lime zest and sweet pea shoots are underscored with fresh minerality and bright salinity.

We hand-harvested our Sauvignon Blanc grapes in two passes about a week apart. We whole cluster pressed the grapes into a combination of neutral puncheons and a stainless steel tank for fermentation. A portion of the wine went through malolactic fermentation, adding a slight richness to the mouthfeel. The wine aged in the same neutral puncheons and stainless steel tank for five months before it was blended and bottled. $40

#2 Reserve Grenache 2018 Jespersen Ranch

Farming Grenache in the cool climate of Edna Valley can be a gamble. Late season frosts and unfavorable weather can harm the clusters by the time they are ready to harvest in late October. But in more temperate years like 2018, we are rewarded with a fantastic expression of cool-climate Grenache. Aged 18 months in a large wooden cask, this wine has Jespersen Ranch’s signature white pepper flavor, wide drying tannins and naturally high acidity. $85

#3 Zinfandel 2019 Paso Robles

This wine comes from a few acres of historic, head-trained Zinfandel vines that we inherited when we purchased the property adjacent to Heart Hill Vineyard in 2016. These vines were planted in 1999 and came from the Ueberroth vineyard on the Westside of Paso Robles, which was one of the first vineyards in the area. We hand-harvested the grapes on September 30th, 2019 and fermented them in stainless steel tanks. This is a balanced and full-bodied Zinfandel, with dark plum, spice and plush, persistent tannins. $50

#4 Club 9 2020 Bootjack Ranch & Heart Hill Vineyard

Each year, we bring staff members together for a friendly blending competition to make this wine. Our Winemakers choose the varietals, and each staff member composes their own blend. Everyone blind tastes and votes for their favorite blend. In 2020, our Estate Horticulturist, Fiona Bond, composed the winning blend! The wine is rich and deep in color, with hints of coffee, red fruit, dried herbs and brushy tannins on the finish. $55

#5 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Heart Hill Vineyard

The cool, late growing season of 2018 provided us with a stunning expression of Heart Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s rich, textured and powerful – resonant with full-bodied flavors of dark blackberry flavors and brushy herbal undertones. We hand-harvested grapes from three of our premiere blocks at Heart Hill Vineyard and fermented them in stainless steel tanks. We selected our highest quality French Oak barrels and aged the wine for 26 months. This is a wine built to age, and if you plan to drink it within the first few years of its release, we recommend decanting for four+ hours prior to enjoying. $115
