#1 Reserve Grenache Blanc 2022 Heart Hill Vineyard

In 2022 we harvested our Grenache Blanc grapes on September 13th, about a month earlier than normal. We whole-cluster pressed the grapes and transferred the juice into oak barrels and oak puncheons for fermentation. Lees stirring and malolactic fermentation on a few barrels enhanced creaminess and complexity. We aged the wine in barrels for 10 months and the result is a rich expression of Grenache Blanc with fresh, clean acidity. $55

#2 Grenache 2020 Jespersen Ranch

We farm nine acres of Grenache at Jespersen Ranch, where the coastal influence produces a beautiful expression of the varietal. In 2020, we hand-harvested our Grenache and fermented them in nine different stainless-steel tanks. This small lot approach gave us the ability to use a variety of winemaking techniques to create layers that complement the characteristics of Grenache. We kept the percentage of new French oak barrels low (21%) to focus on bright fruit flavors and preserve freshness. The result is a lively and vibrant wine with hints of strawberry, white pepper and black tea. $55

#3 Zinfandel 2019 Paso Robles

This wine comes from a few acres of historic, head-trained Zinfandel vines that we inherited when we purchased the property adjacent to Heart Hill Vineyard in 2016. These vines were planted in 1999 and came from the Ueberroth vineyard on the Westside of Paso Robles, which was one of the first vineyards in the area. We hand-harvested the grapes on September 30th, 2019 and fermented them in stainless steel tanks. This is a balanced and full-bodied Zinfandel, with dark plum, spice and plush, persistent tannins. $50

#4 Reserve Syrah 2019 Jespersen Ranch, Edna Valley

We only produce a Reserve Syrah from the best vintages, and 2019 marks the first time since 2014 that we’ve made one. Jespersen Ranch’s cool, coastal environment can make ripening Syrah difficult. But the 2019 growing season finished with plenty of sunshine, allowing us to hand-harvest the grapes at the end of October at perfect ripeness. We fermented the grapes in stainless steel tanks and aged the wine in French oak barrels, half of which were new. The finished wine was so stunning on its own that we bottled it as a single varietal, 100% Syrah. $85

#5 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Heart Hill Vineyard

The cool, late growing season of 2018 provided us with a stunning expression of Heart Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s rich, textured and powerful – resonant with full-bodied flavors of dark blackberry flavors and brushy herbal undertones. We hand-harvested grapes from three of our premiere blocks at Heart Hill Vineyard and fermented them in stainless steel tanks. We selected our highest quality French Oak barrels and aged the wine for 26 months. This is a wine built to age, and if you plan to drink it within the first few years of its release, we recommend decanting for four+ hours prior to enjoying. $115
