82% Bootjack Ranch, 18% Heart Hill
86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Malbec, 3% Merlot, 2% Carmenere
This is one of our darkest Estate Cabernet Sauvignons ever. On the nose this wine has depth with black currant, tobacco and dried herbs. On the palate black cherry, dark chocolate and dried sage are balanced with ample tannin and a long, lingering finish. This is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon with its harmonious blend of full-bodied fruit, luscious tannins & well-integrated acidity and shows how well our two Paso Robles vineyards work in a blend. "the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of baked blackberries and blackcurrant cordial with hints of anise, dried herbs and mocha. Medium to full-bodied, with great expression and freshness, it has a chewy backbone and long, fruity finish."

"This bottling, which is bolstered by 9% Malbec, 3% Merlot and 2% Carmenère, shows rounded black currant, blueberry, smoked beef and graphite on the nose. Soft tannins make for an elegant presentation, with heavy black-fruit flavors of crème de cassis and dark chocolate."

"Opaque ruby. Ripe, oak-accented dark berries, cherry and a hint of pipe tobacco on the deeply perfumed nose. Plush and round on entry, then more taut in the midpalate, offering energetic bitter cherry and black currant flavors and building smokiness. Shows good clarity and punch on the gently tannic finish, which leaves notes of cherry pit and sexy vanillin oak behind."
