second generation of the family, andy started helping his parents with the day-to-day operation of the company in 2013
After studying economics at Colby College in Maine, Andy started his career working in finance for Cambridge Associates in Boston. He then moved to California and worked as a product manager in a small sunglass company in San Luis Obispo, earned his MBA from U.C. Berkeley and spent several years working in strategic planning for Levi Strauss & Company in San Francisco.
His love for the central coast and the importance of the family business ended up being the catalyst for joining the team. Outside of work Andy bikes, climbs, wears puffy vests and old raggedy New Balance shoes to Winemaker dinners, cooks and spends time at home with his four year-old daughter Cora (a.k.a. the official wine sniffer).
a scientist by education whose love of the outdoors and the natural world lead him to winemaking. Patrick oversees our winemaking team, makes our wines from Bootjack Ranch and Heart Hill Vineyard and select wines from Jespersen Ranch.
Fresh out of UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Microbiology, Patrick worked his first harvest in 2000 at Orcutt Road Cellars. He spent the next several years working under venerated French winemaker, Christian Roguenant, where he developed a sincere respect for hands-on experience over book-learning when it comes to the art of winemaking. Patrick then headed to Santa Ynez, California, to become the head winemaker for Blackjack Winery where he focused on making small-production lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay. Patrick joined Niner Wine Estates in 2009 and was promoted to Winemaker in 2013. Outside of Niner, Patrick keeps busy cultivating new pursuits with his wife Heather, their 2 daughters, Kaylinn and Clare, and their Australian Shepherd, Bell. Patrick’s love of surfing has taken him all over the world and he is also an avid river rafter, backpacker and snowboarder.

After an introduction to the world of wine during a study-abroad in the South of France Molly had the bug. She began her education at the University of Minnesota and finished it at Cal Poly with a BS in Fruit Science and a Minor in Wine & Viticulture. In the 20 years since, she has methodically worked across several functions within the industry seeking to understand sales, vineyard science and winemaking-by-doing. In 2014, Molly came to Niner after working at Paul Hobbs Wines, where she was winemaker for the Crossbarn brand. In her spare time Molly enjoys spending time outside, crafting, and enjoying food and wine with family and friends. She lives in San Luis Obispo with her husband Daniel, and son Sawyer.
Patrick Martinez, Cellar Master
a cider maker in his spare time, patrick is fascinated by the creative, chemical and social “nuts and bolts” of wine production
Since 2007 Patrick has worked internationally for wineries on the Central Coast of California, Australia and New Zealand. In 2009 the endeavors led him to Niner Wine Estates. His work, observations and dynamic experiences give him a zeal for fermentations and the subtle/elaborate mesh they express. Outside of work, he can be found fishing, surfing and enjoying the beautiful coastline with his lovely family.

Alicia has been part of the Niner Wine Estates team since the tasting room opened in 2010 and plays a vital role as Wine Club Manager. Alicia earned her Social Sciences Degree from San Jose State University, and then her Multiple Subject Credential from Chapman University. Alicia lives in Paso Robles with her husband, Brad, and their two children, Jake and Hannah and enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends and discovering one new Paso Robles winery each month.
Damon Miele, Hospitality Director

Damon joined the Niner Wine Estates Team in 2017 and as the Hospitality Director he plays an important role in creating world class wine & culinary experiences for every customer who visits Niner. After obtaining a degree in Media Studies from Penn State and a Master’s in Mass Communication from Point Park University, Damon found his way into the hospitality industry. Nearly two decades and a variety of event, food & wine related jobs later he still loves the wine industry and talking with our customers! While not searching out the perfect food & wine pairing for dinner, Damon enjoys spending time outdoors all over the Central Coast with his wife Magda, their son Gannon and their 2 dogs.

A Central Coast native, Sydney joined the Niner Wine Estates team in 2016 when she started as a hostess in the restaurant. Sydney’s passion for the industry was instilled at a young age: her mom was an event coordinator and would often bring her young daughter to work with her. Sydney quickly learned how rewarding it is to see all of the pieces of an event come together in the end. While not studying for her upcoming Sommelier Certification test, Sydney loves spending her free time volunteering and can often be found dedicating her time and serving for various local programs throughout the Central Coast.
Teresa Josserand, Tasting Room manager

Teresa has been with the Niner team since the beginning of 2010. Prior to that, she had experience as both a Holiday Inn Catering Director, and a Catering Assistant at the Hilton. At Niner you can find Teresa pouring wine at the tasting room bar, assisting in a cooking class, and creating a welcoming environment for visitors. Teresa stays busy raising two teenagers, developing healthy recipes, and hiking across the Central Coast.
Jay Nickodemus, Tours & Experiences Manager

Jay grew up in Idaho, making his way through Oregon and Colorado before moving to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly to pursue a degree in Wine & Viticulture. He began working at Niner in early 2013 as a tasting room associate and has recently taken over all of our tours & reserve tastings. When not at the winery you can find Jay driving between San Luis Obispo and LA. When not breathing Carbon Monoxide, Jay can be found drinking Carbon Dioxide in an ever delicious bottle of Champagne.
crystal arrowsmith, Wine club assistant

Born and raised in Paso Robles, Crystal obtained a degree in Recreation Hospitality and Tourism at Chico State before returning home to the Central Coast. Right after college, Crystal took a job with the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce where she enjoyed learning about the people visiting the Central Coast. Crystal Joined the Niner Wine Estates team in 2018 and loves getting to learn about our wine club members from all over the country. She enjoys using her knowledge of the area and her interest in other people to build relationships with our customers.
While she is not exploring one of the many Central Coasts beaches, Crystal loves sharing her home town with friends and traveling to visit friends throughout California.

Jacob joined our team with a passion for food and all that it entails. His cooking career began while he was studying to become a high school chemistry teacher at the University of North Carolina. While working weekend jobs in kitchens, his love for the art, science culture and community surrounding food became evident and ultimately led him to culinary school. Jacob has worked for many well-known restaurants around the world. He’s held positions at Manresa Restaurant (2 Michelin Stars), Post Ranch Inn and Big Sur Bakery. He spent the last few years working at Parachute Bali – a bakery, farm and restaurant in Indonesia. While there he also managed to compete and win Iron Chef Indonesia: Crab!
When not tailoring recipes specifically to our wines, Jacob’s free time is all about family, adventuring around the Central Coast, eating and drinking and enjoying the sunshine and salty ocean air.
Director of Sales, Tucker Spear
With wine running through his veins, tucker’s unparalleled passion for fine wine can be experienced by those that he meets while traveling and promoting Niner Wine Estates.
Tucker inherited his passion for the wine industry at a very young age from his mother, who worked in international wine sales. He attended San Diego State University and graduated with a degree in Applied Design. Tucker’s work in the wine industry began as a sales representative for a wine distributor before spending the next ten years as Regional and National Sales Management positions at Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards and Winery in Healdsburg, and Fantesca Estate and Winery in St. Helena. During his tenure at Fantesca, Tucker assisted in the launch of this fledgling brand, building a distribution network, growing direct sales and exceeding all projected goals. Tucker resides in San Diego with his wife Sarah and two sons, Preston and Parker.
Southeast Regional Sales Director, Eric Miller
a lifelong industry professional based out of Florida, you can find Eric spreading the word about niner all across the southeast (when he's not here in Paso robles surfing with our winemaker)
Eric started his career in the food and beverage business on the very day of his 15th birthday. Working his way up the ranks before, during and after college he went on to manage some of the best restaurants and wine programs in the country. Eric left the food side behind in 2008 to work for a distributor and focus on his wine education as well as be home at night to raise a family. Eric works with our distributor and supplier partners in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic to spread the word about Niner. Eric lives in Florida with his two beautiful children Eason and Elizabeth (a.k.a. Libby) and multiple rescue boxers at any given moment. When not working, Eric enjoys spending time with his family all surfing, fishing, traveling or just relaxing at the beach or pool.
