Jespersen Vineyard

Edna Valley, San Luis Obispo

Jespersen VineyardNestled in the Edna Valley, a coastal wine-growing region located in southern San Luis Obispo County, Jespersen Vineyard spans 111 acres, of which 42 hillside acres are planted to wine grapes.  Purchased in 2011, this vineyard is planted primarily to Pinot Noir. With a maritime climate of mild day and cool night temperatures, Jespersen Vineyard produces balanced fruit where flavor, tannin and phenolics are ripened evenly with sugar development.  Varieties traditionally grown in the Burgundy region of France thrive in this climate.  In total, seven varieties are grown at Jespersen Vineyard: Albariño, Chardonnay, Grenache, Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah.

Jespersen Vineyard is a long-standing dream come true for the Richard and Pam Niner. The addition of this cool-climate vineyard, provides optimal grounds for growing exceptional, high-quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay - two wines the Niners very much enjoy themselves and look forward to sharing with our customers soon!
