At the beginning of each growing season our winemaker chooses a single vineyard block at Jespersen Ranch to farm specifically for Rose. This extra attention in the vineyard is followed by whole-cluster pressing the grapes to create a gorgeous, jewel toned wine with bright acidity.
In 2017 our Pinot Noir grapes had gorgeous color so we destemmed and pressed them immediately to acheive the perfect shade of light pink. We fermented the wine in a stainless steel tank and inoculated with a special yeast, native to the Provençal region in France famed for their Rosé, to promote more savory aromatics and flavors. The wine then spent 6 months in neutral oak barrels and was bottled under a screwcap to retain freshness. Download tech sheet »
