Fog Catcher is always comprised of the best Bordeaux blends of the year and the 2014 vintage exceeded expectations. Aromatics of dark blackberry, brushy herb and vanilla bean radiate from the glass and continue to develop into deeper layers of rich fruit and cinnamon as you swirl. The palate drapes delicate floral and fruit components over a structured mouthfeel to create a rich and glamorous experience outlined by impressive + dense tannins. Extended bottle aging will heavily benefit this wine and decanting is recommended, especially in its youth. Download tech sheet »

"a favorite barrel selection made from 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Malbec, 24% Petit Verdot, and the balance Cabernet Franc that spent 28 months in French oak, the 2013 Fog Catcher sports a deep purple color as well as terrific notes of crème de cassis, licorice, graphite and cedarlike spice. Rich, full-bodied, concentrated and elegant, with beautiful purity and precision on the palate, it’s unquestionably the finest wine I've ever tasted from this estate."
